Bright and Cosy Home in Australia: the Yallingup Residence

Combining stone, metal, wood and glass, the Yallingup Residence was created for the enjoyment and relaxation of its inhabitants. Architects from WrightFeldhusen designed and constructed the home you are about to see below. Situated in Yallingup, in the South West corner of Western Australia, the home got its name from the location chosen for the construction. Surrounded by a green environment, the residence gets plenty of sunshine through the glass walls that act as a canvas for the hill scenery outside. Brightly coloured stone stands at the base of the construction, while the two storeys are delimited by white concrete floors and ceilings. An ordinary construction wouldn’t have looked as good in a natural landscape, but the Yallingup Residence makes the most of the available space and natural environment. Large rooms complete the exterior design by keeping the same design line and reusing the colourful stone motif we saw outside. The terrace and large sliding doors allow the formation of a healthy connection between the outside and the inside. Take a look at the pictures below and let us know what you think.

Exotic Residence in Singapore : The Fish House

The Fish House is an exotic residence designed by Guz Architects and located in Singapore. The main idea behind this home was to ensure a connection with nature and with the surrounding landscapes in particular. The Fish House is said to be a “modern tropical bungalow” that is perfectly integrated in its climate and environment, as its architecture and open spaces encourage natural ventilation and its floor to ceiling windows allow unobstructed views of the sea. Here is more information from the architects, regarding this project’s sustainable elements : “The idea of connection is reinforced by having the basement level media-room with a u-shaped acrylic window which allows diffuse natural light in and also views out into the pool. The curved roofs, which symbolize the sea waves, also emphasize the idea of the nearby sea. These are almost totally covered with thin bendable photovoltaic panels supplying enough energy to the house, while the remaining area is used as a green roof giving residents some outdoor leisure spaces.”

H House, a Hypnotizing Glass Residence in The Netherlands

“H House” comes from Wiel Arets Architects and is located in Maastricht, The Netherlands. We called it “hypnotizing” because we consider this to be one of those innovative architecture projects that keeps you analyzing it in depth. Moreover, this beautiful residence has a stunning glass exterior which transforms it into a mirror for the natural landscape surrounding it. The house was designed for a couple- a dancer and an actor, which “explains” its artistic look. What really strikes about its interior is the lack of structural walls. The building is supported by a few columns especially positioned in order to ensure stability. The interiors are wide and spacious, while the floor to ceiling windows allow natural light to reign all throughout the house.-via Arch Daily
